How have you developed a biscuit
specifically for my breed?
Research, research, research (and a lot of testing by the
Wonder Dog). While
researching canine nutrition we came across the work of W.D.
Cusick. Mr. Cusick has
written several books about canine nutrition and individual breed
requirements. It is on
his theories and research that The Wonder Dog bakery bases its
recipes. After studying
each breed’s unique needs we set about scouring pet recipe books,
magazines, veterinarian offices and the internet for recipes that
matched or could be adjusted to each breed. After that it was bake,
bake, bake (and eat, eat, eat) until the recipe was
finished.
What makes The Wonder Dog Bakery’s biscuits better
than ordinary biscuits?
The Wonder Dog Bakery uses quality ingredients like fresh
vegetables, meat and grains.
The biscuits are free from preservatives, animal by-products,
and other additives with sub-par
nutritional value. We
use the kind of ingredients you would feed your human family.
Also, we do not make the biscuits until you order them and all of
our biscuits are made in Phoenix, AZ.
I do not see my breed
listed.
The Wonder Dog Bakery can make biscuits for any of the 150
AKC recognized breeds as well as a few
non-recognized breeds.
If you have a question about a breed please contact us. If we do not already have a
recipe we will do our best to create a biscuit for your
breed.
I have a mixed-breed. Do you have a biscuit
for her?
Mixed breeds are tricky because their exact heritage is not
known. In general, it
is best to select the biscuit that corresponds to your dog’s
dominant breed. For
example, if your Lab Chow mix looks predominantly Lab then purchase
the Labrador biscuit. Again, always be aware of
the ingredients to make sure you are not feeding your dog something
they are allergic to.
My dog had an allergic reaction.
Why?
While this is unexpected, it is possible. Every dog is different, so
occasionally a dog within a breed will react to ingredients that
should be beneficial to him.
Always check the ingredients in everything you feed your dog
to rule out possible allergies.
I bought the the biscuit listed
for my breed but he does not like
them.
Like the people they own, dogs have individual likes and
dislikes. We don’t
always like what is good for us. Try crumbling a biscuit or
two into his food until he gets accustomed to the taste. If he still does not like
them then you tried your best.
If these biscuits are so
healthy, can I substitute biscuits for my dogs
food?
While it is true that The Wonder Dog Bakery’s biscuits are
healthier for your dog than commercial biscuits and dog
food they are meant to be a treat for your dog not a
replacement for dog food.
What sizes do you sell?
Biscuits are sold in 1/2 pound
packages.
The size of the biscuit varies by breed. Please contact us for
further information regarding biscuit size.
Why do the biscuits have expiration
dates?
Because The Wonder Dog Bakery does not add artificial
preservatives or additives to our biscuits the treats have a much
shorter shelf life than ordinary biscuits.
My son ate the dog’s
biscuit. What should I do?
Check the ingredient list on the package. Unless your son is allergic
to a specific ingredient listed he will be fine. Although they don’t taste
that great to humans the biscuits are edible.
Can I return the
biscuits?
In the unlikely event that your dog did not like or had an
allergic reaction to a biscuit you can return the unused portion for
a full refund less the cost of shipping. Returned products must not
have passed their expiration date.
Why doesn’t The Wonder Dog Bakery make treats for
cats?
At this time we are currently developing a line of Wonder Cat
treats to be personally taste tested by Willo’s feline friend,
Divot.
